At CareTactics CPR, we have a passion to help others learn the life saving techniques of CPR and First Aid. Here are some common questions we’re asked:
What is CPR?
CPR stands for cardio pulmonary resuscitation. The whole goal of CPR is perfuse (or get blood flow) the brain. High quality CPR is always the goal!
What is an AED?
AED stands for automated external defibrillator. AED’s are sophisticated and extremely reliable aids in the life saving process of CPR. Studies have shown that early and quick defibrillation can dramatically increase your chances of gaining spontaneous circulation. AED’s are located in a ton of places such as department stores, schools, vehicles, and office buildings, just to name a few!
How Long Will My Course Take?
Course length depends on if you’re taking the class for the first time or if you are re-certifying. Generally, courses can take anywhere from 1.5 hours to 4.0 hours. Please contact us to clarify your class length.
Are Your Courses OSHA Compliant?
Our Heartsaver Courses are for anyone with limited or no medical training who needs training and certification to meet job or requirements for regulations. While these courses are designed to meet OSHA requirements, OSHA does not review or approve any courses for compliance.
Where Exactly Are You Located?
We are located at 1111 Alameda Blvd Albuquerque, NM 87114 inside of the Cottonwood Park Plaza complex. This complex is on the north side of Alameda, just east of Rio Grande Blvd. You can find our office by looking for the sign that says “CPR TRAINING”. We also have cpr images on our windows. Please call us at 505-585-1533 if you get lost!
How Long Is My Certification Valid For?
We offer e-card certifications which are valid for 2 years, from date of issue. Your card will be issued to you at the conclusion of class. So, you will leave our facility with your card in hand!
When Will I Receive My Certification?
You will receive your certification at the conclusion of your training, on the same day. Your cert may be issued via email from the address “[email protected]” or by hard copy if you are taking an ASHI course.
